Livestreaming

Join SCAN NATOA as we take a look at how local channels are using livestreaming to expand the reach of their programming efforts. Our panel has used a wide range of what is available on the market today. Hear how they are using livestreaming, along with what is and isn't working.

Speakers and Topics:

Jack Chin, General Manager, SFGovTV, City and County of San Francisco, will talk about how their channel is using Wirecast.

Jeremy Stout, Applications Programmer, LA CityView 35, City of Los Angeles, is using Wowza to make it possible to be on multiple social media accounts at the same time with one feed. Los Angeles City Councilmember offices are loving being able to use LA CityView's 8-camera HD feed for their Facebook pages and going live from Council meetings. The channel has experimented with Blackmagic, the Aja Helo and Ncast Hydra and will share their experiences.

Ed Wilson, City of Torrance, has used a variety of products including Livestream (multicamera sports), Facebook Live (speeches and promotions), Periscope (speeches), and the MiFi 4G network with a single field camera to studio for live remotes (news).

Come early and tour the LA CityView new Council Coverage System and Master Control!

The meeting is at the Tom Bradley Tower Room at City Hall. The room features one of the best views of Los Angeles with its 27th floor location and observation deck!
